FarmLinks Golf Club at Pursell Farms Ranked No. 1 Course in Alabama by Golfweek

National Magazine Bestows Distinction; Playing Spots Open for Spring Kick-Off Tournament April 5-6

FarmLinks Golf Club at Pursell Farms - an amenity of the esteemed boutique resort known for its elite customer service and tranquil country setting near Birmingham - has been ranked the No. 1 public course in Alabama in Golfweek's just-published 2013 "America's Best Courses You Can Play" by state list.

Approximately 400 "America's Best" raters annually pinpoint the country's finest golf courses, based on strength of routing, feature shaping, natural setting, greens, variety and memorability of holes, conditioning, maintenance and landscape management. The 2013 rankings appear in the March 8 edition of the magazine and on the Golfweek website.

"We are honored to receive this recognition from Golfweek," said Pursell Farms CEO David Pursell. "FarmLinks and Pursell Farms strive to offer our individual and group guests' excellence throughout the resort."

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in June, FarmLinks mixes dramatic elevation changes with immaculate fairways and greens. The Hurdzan-Fry design has garnered numerous accolades since opening in 2003, including being named one of the "75 Best Golf Resorts in North America" by Golf Digest.

The world's only research and demonstration golf course, more than 10,000 superintendents and turf specialists from around the world have visited the resort to learn best practices and network.

Pursell Farms is a cozy family-owned resort located on 3,500 pristine acres and offers fishing and hunting, clay shooting, fresh farm-to-table dining, meeting space, wedding services and more.
